Welcome to our very first Premium wine collection. It’s designed for those who desire the full wine experience… the chance to have an intellectual, sensory, and emotional relationship with wine. This multi-faceted involvement is what seasoned wine lovers seek, and the bottles I have selected for our Premium club offer greater complexity, quality, and longevity. I’ve given you two bottles of each wine, knowing you’re likely to serve them with a dinner for like-minded friends; or lay the other down to develop greater complexity. Domaine La Soufrandière is one of the gems of southern Burgundy, and their Chardonnay from Pouilly-Vinzelles is rich, nutty, and mineral-laced. The two brothers who run this micro-estate have enjoyed fly-fishing in B.C., and would thoroughly approve of a salmon or trout pairing…. with a rich butter sauce, of course! I’ve included a handsome Okanagan Pinot Noir as well, made in the Burgundian style from ultra-premium grapes, which is gorgeously packaged. Pair it now with duck or game, and if you can be patient, the second bottle will pay earthy, woodsy dividends after a year in your cellar. Famed for majestic, muscular red wines, Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a collector must-have. I adore the concentrated, lush style of Paul Jaboulet Aîné, beloved for their reverence for tradition and commitment to biodynamic farming. Let’s raise a glass to Premium, to gourmet dinners, and to you.
