There’s a delightful hometown connection to this majestic rich red. Owner/winemaker David Tate is a native British Columbian who formerly worked at incomparable Ridge Vineyards. He is a graduate of Niagara’s Brock University and has made wine around the globe. Mount Veeder is a hillside-only sub-appellation within the Napa Valley, with a long history of producing compelling Cabernet Sauvignon. This is magnificent ‘mountain wine’, full of pure blueberry and cassis flavours, with substantial tannins, and the signature savoury freshness of cool-grown fruit. This balanced elegant Cab sports vibrant rich with an underlying minerality that is eminently satisfying. In the great tradition of Napa, it is very age-worthy.
