Tate Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon is a majestic Cabernet Sauvignon made by B.C. boy David Tate. Powerful, plush and age-worthy, it’s a princely pair for roast prime rib.
There’s a delightful hometown connection to this majestic rich red. Owner/winemaker David Tate is a native British Columbian who formerly worked at incomparable Ridge Vineyards. He is a graduate of Niagara’s Brock University and has made wine around the globe. Mount Veeder is a hillside-only sub-appellation within the Napa Valley, with a long history of producing compelling Cabernet Sauvignon. This is magnificent ‘mountain wine’, full of pure blueberry and cassis flavours, with substantial tannins, and the signature savoury freshness of cool-grown fruit. From the exceptional 2013 vintage, this balanced elegant Cab sports vibrant rich with an underlying minerality that is eminently satisfying. In the great tradition of Napa, it is very age-worthy. Let breathe in a decanter before pairing with roast beef or leg of lamb. Pour into the largest wine glasses you have!
