This Summerhill Vineyard Riesling 2015 combines high-wire acidity and opulent fruit that is farmed biodynamically.
The energy and intensity of this wine is off the charts. Heady perfume, a depth charge of eye-popping lime and mandarin flavours, lip-smacking fruity acidity and a mesmerizing finish that wavers between honeyed sweetness and zesty citrus. It’s definitely a fruity Riesling, but so effortlessly balanced, with just the right weighty succulence and tangy intensity for foie gras, green Thai coconut curry, or smoked salmon. This Riesling vineyard has been farmed in a special manner for a few years, preparing it for biodynamic conversion. Summerhill earned B.C.’s first biodynamic Demeter certification a few years ago, and this eloquent Riesling has the hallmark of vitality and balance that biodynamically farmed fruit possesses
