Summerhill, based in the Okanagan Valley, made the 100% Pinot Noir Cipes Blanc de Noirs 2008. Complex, flavourful and developed.
The creamy and crisp Cipes Blanc de Noirs 2008 by Summerhill is 100% Pinot Noir (organically farmed!) and the recipient of several awards, including the Gold Medal for “Best Varietal” at the 2015 BC Wine Awards. Flavours of raspberry, cherry, cranberry, mango, and passion fruit burst onto the palate, still holding their vibrant fruit character in this extended-age sparkler. Made in the traditional method (just like Champagne) this 8 year old wine shows the toasty, nutty and complex side of gorgeously developed bubbly. Seriously structured and seriously delicious. Pairs with seafood like grilled sockeye, roast chicken (or even duck!), or mature cheese. Summerhill/Cipes is a pioneer of sparkling wine in British Columbia.
