St. Hallett started as a fortified wine producer in 1944. The winery segued into premium tables wines after its Old Shiraz vintage received widespread praise in 1980. Increasingly, the winery began to understand the importance of tending to old vines. The Borossa heritage was strong with St. Hallett, and it soon cultivated long-term relationships that proved fruitful, in more ways than one. The winery, able to source grapes from the best vineyards in Borossa, took full advantage of the region’s climate and terroir. New techniques ensure customized fermentation, which only reveals itself through the expression of its notable, Borossa-influenced wines.
