Located near Fruitvale, BC, and the Columbia River, SOAHC meticulously produces biodynamic wines, including their Riesling.
On the nose, floral, lime and cucumber notes. The off-dry but superbly balanced palate bears lychee, pears, anise, cream and apple blossom, supported by a kick of citrus acidity. The finish lingers on floral, stone and lime notes. Biodynamic farming brings an extra fruit dimension for pairing with spot prawns, smoked fish or and pork dish. Soahc (pronounced So-ack) is chaos spelled backwards, and this is an acknowledgement of the natural forces that play such a profound role in farming. Soahc is located in the West Kootenays and this unique winery is definitely worth a visit.
