Reaching the pinnacle of the wine industry is a lofty goal, but Robert Mondavi established his eponymous winery with just that in mind. Mondavi settled in Napa Valley, placing his winery in an epicentre of grape growth. The now-famous To Kalon Vineyard was the start, and helped springboard the expansion of the winery, and bolstering the grapes sourced from Stag’s Leap and Los Carneros vineyards. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay all reflect the unique, multifaceted terroir of the Napa Valley. Brilliant Genevieve Janssens, Director of Winemaking at the winery, has added considerable lustre to the legacy of Mondavi, and received notable distinction in the process. Combining tradition with new technology has been essential to continued growth of Robert Mondavi Winery.
