Mission Hill Perpetua 2013 from the Okanagan Valley and is a rich, creamy, and intense white wine.
Perpetua means long-lasting or continuous, which represents to Mission Hill the concept of generations; their roots and their future. Harvested from Mission HIlls’ eastern Osoyoos vineyard estate, this 100% Chardonnay wine was partially fermented in new French oak, and aged sur lie for nine months to add a velvety mouth-feel. Finely woven bright acidity uplifts the pear, lemon curd and baking spice flavours and creamy texture. There are limited quantities of Perpetua available - only 42 barrels were produced. Part of Mission Hill’s top Legacy tier, this alluring full-bodied beauty will transform in the bottle over the next five years, gaining focus and complexity. But it’s lovely to drink now, paired with Dungeness crab risotto, roast chicken or triple cream cheese.
