Lock & Worth
Their name says it all: Matthew SherLOCK and Ross HackWORTH are the wine brains behind this stripped down, unfussy brand. The labels say it all too: minimalist, spare, restrained and oh-so-cool. They strongly believe that we should be able to drink high quality, single vineyard (non-commodity), small production wines from British Columbia that are priced reasonably. They spend all their money on the wines, not the marketing. The wines are made in tried-and-true old equipment like basket presses and used casks, allowing the purity of gorgeously ripened Okanagan fruit to take centre stage. Oh, and if you've heard of a little winery called Nichol on the Naramata Bench, you can find Matt and Ross there too.
