Leeuwin Estate is managed by two generations of Horgans who work alongside experienced winemakers to produce internationally distinctive wines. The winery is part of a five member group that founded the Margaret River region of Western Australia. Renowned wine sage Robert Mondavi travelled to the region, pointing out its growing potential while also imparting invaluable advice to Denis and Tricia Horgan. Their cattle farmed became Leeuwin Estate, and their first commercial vintage was released in 1979. Decanter Magazine took note, singling out the wine by giving it its highest commendation. The demand for Leeuwin Estate wine has grown considerably, totalling 30 markets.
