JoieFarm’s PTG 2014 takes its name and style from the Burgundian “passe-tout-grains” tradition (which means ‘all the grapes together’), that blends together Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes to make a casual, early-drinking red. Both grapes sing in this delicious and juicy wine: Pinot contributes dark plum, spice and turned earth, while Gamay brings joyful cherries and strawberries. Mid-weight with soft tannins and mouthwatering acidity, it’s a fine earthy, gutsy, fruity, lively pairing with sausages, charcuterie, salmon, smoked meat, and mushroom-based dishes.
