The picturesque Jaume Serra estate is located in the heart of the Penedes region in Catalonia. The land that the vineyard is currently situated on was originally a 16th Century walled farm belonging to an old castle. The farm was purchased in 1975 by Don Jaume Serra Güel and the winery itself opened in 1986. The current winery is part of the García Carrión group and is surrounded by 125 hectares of vineyards. Famed for an excellent range of sparkling wines made in the Methode Tradicional (just like champagne) using indigenous Spanish grapes, the winery has the most modern systems for ageing wine with the capacity to produce 20 million bottles of wine per year.
