HRB Riesling bottle

Anthony Gismondi's guest note:

The HRB Riesling is made from a mix of premium vineyard sites located in the Clare Valley and Tasmania. It’s the second release of this unique blend that takes the juicy citrus/limon, talc-scented fruit of the Clare Valley and mixes it with cooler, steely, mineral, spicy green apple Tasmanian Riesling. Still delicious at six years old, it would be a perfect fit in Vancouver where raw oysters rule the world most months of the year.

Hardys is one of Australia's beloved and pre-eminent wineries. The Heritage Reserve Bin (HBR) series of wines is a nod to the noble tradition of blending grapes from diverse geographic regions. The racy and dry Riesling is a marriage of Clare Valley and Tasmanian fruit, with 6 glorious years of bottle age. Complex with lemon verbena, lime leaf, and notes of citronella candle, The texture manages to achieve full, acidity-driven tension and emollience. Chill only slightly, and pair with any seafood ceviche, asparagus salad, or lemony grilled fish.
