Salute Canada 150 with this eye-opening trio of Canadian wines, hailing from Nova Scotia, Ontario, and B.C.
Is there a better way to celebrate Canada 150 than with Canadian wine? This trio is a delicious way to discover our cool-climate signature. Our celebratory Canada 150 wine pack features a charmingly fruity seven-grape blend from Nova Scotia, a juicy Gamay from a pioneering Niagara estate, and a sleek, biodynamically-farmed Riesling from the Kootenays - showcasing the best of Canadian wine.
Stretching from the Annapolis Valley to Pender Island, Canadian wine-growing regions are comprised of 30,000 acres (12,150 hectares) of grapes and 548 wineries. We are unquestionably enthusiastic winelovers in Canada: we are the seventh largest and the third fastest-growing wine market in the world, and each year we consume 17.4 litres of wine per capita nationwide. We don’t make much wine because of our northern latitude and extreme growing conditions, and we patriotically consume most of our annual production of 45 million litres of Canadian/VQA wine (that's just 5 million cases!). Very little is left for export, but the world has discovered our precise and highly distinct wines. Our wine future is very, very bright. Happy 150th Birthday, Canada.
