The Baessler family and friends immigrated to Canada from Switzerland in the early 1990s, falling in love with the beauty of the Similkameen Valley and the similarity of roots to those found in their homeland. The year 2015 brought a change as Diane and Gord Peter joined the team, prompting a transition to Upper Bench Road in Keremeos. Corcelettes Winery’s flagship wine is Menhir Red, which blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Along with those grapes, the winery grows Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Chasselas, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris. Despite their exponential growth, Corcelettes Winery hasn’t lost its farming heritage. The “Vineyard Accolade Edition” features grapes grown meticulously by farmers, who are involved in the tasting just as much as the viticulture. Corcelettes Winery has taken full advantage of the multifaceted terroir and microclimate of the region, producing a variety of wines that resonate deeply with wine lovers.
