Clot de l'Oum Saint Bart 2013 is a full-bodied three grape blend from ancient, certified organic vineyards.
Old vines grown on harsh, impoverished schist and granite soils high above the Mediterranean produce this textbook robust red from Roussillon: earthy, minerally, and herbal, with plenty of plummy richness. Potent fruit from gnarled Carignan, Grenache and Syrah vines combine handsomely bringing briary, dark berry flavours, powerful spice, plenty of fresh acidity and dense chewy tannins. Open to let breathe, and pair with cassoulet, rich braised lamb, or something smoky and grilled. It’s full-bodied, and needs deep flavours to match. Certified organic and farmed biodynamically.
