Château de Tracy
Wines have been made from the vineyards of this venerable Château since the 14th Century, but the winery owes its current incarnation to the Count and Countess Alain d'Estutt d'Assay, who resurrected it in 1952. Today it is run by their son, Henry d'Assay, and his sisters. The Chateau’s Sauvignon Blanc vineyards straddle the classic chalk and flint soils of Pouilly Fumé, imbuing wines with smoky (the ‘fumé’ character) and dusty notes. These exceptional soils highlight the nobility and the strength of the Sauvignon grape and allows the production of wines both fruity, opened and perfectly well-balanced. Château de Tracy enjoys a towering reputation for their precise, elegant and beautifully-labelled wines.
