Ployez-Jacquemart Extra Quality Brut NV is made by a small Champagne house founded in 1930. The house style is refined, pure, fresh, and elegant bubbly.
Ployez-Jacquemart is a small Champagne house founded in 1930 by Marcel Ployez and his wife, Yvonne Jacquemart. The basis for their wines is Premier Cru and Grand Cru fruit sourced from their vineyards in the villages of Ludes and Mailly. These are handmade wines; disgorging can be after up to 12 years of cellaring. The Extra Quality Brut is a blend of 65% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with 35% Chardonnay. The house style is ‘low dosage’, resulting in well-balanced wines that are extremely fresh. You’ll discover aromas of citrus, brioche and dusty chalk from the famous white, fossil-rich chalks of the region. A dry, snappy palate with flavours of wild berries and citrus are enriched with toasty, pastry notes. Start a lazy Sunday with this champagne and eggs Benedict, or pair with mushroom risotto, or creamy oyster chowder.
