Chris and Betty Jentsch are revered grapegrowers in the South Okanagan. Winemaker Amber Pratt developed her skills at Black Hills Winery, and since she joined C.C. Jentsch Cellars, the winery has been on fire. Awards, scores, medals, and fame has not altered these farmers one bit, who are firmly in the wine spotlight now. It’s said that wines are made in the vineyard, and you’ll see why when you sip the blockbuster fruit in this velvety, bold red. Over half of the blend is plummy, spicy Merlot, with Cabernet Franc bringing floral perfume and inky blackberry flavours. Aristocratic Cabernet Sauvignon contributes firm tannins and the ripe, smooth finish. Try with a casual burger, or just enjoy solo - it’s complete enough to satisfy you (deeply!) on its own.
