Beringer is one of the few true historic and pioneering wineries in all of California. Jacob and Frederick Beringer left Germany in 1868, and by 1876 they had their first crush of wine from 215 acres of land (bought for $14,500!) in the Napa Valley. For 141 years Beringer have explored various terroirs in Napa and Sonoma Counties, and developed a range of exceptional wines that have captivated wine lovers everywhere. Mark Beringer (great, great grandson of Jacob) is just the 8th winemaker in those 141 years, and he is pushing the wines to even greater heights.
